This fall (September-December 2016) Nixon is set to launch ‘the world’s first action smartwatch’.

Now usually when it comes to smartwatches, I’m right onto it, but this time to my surprise this watch was actually brought to my attention by my brother of whom is extremely active. He loves snowboarding, surfing, and basically all action sports, whereas I am the more geeky sibling that would rather play with devices than risk injuring myself.

As a preexisting smartwatch owner, that isn’t very sporty, I generally prefer nicer watches for going out. However, that being said, I’m definitely trying to be more ‘outdoorsy’. I tend to travel a lot, and I absolutely love the snow. I even enjoy snowboarding…but I absolutely suck at it.

Even though I’m not as sporty as my brothers, I’m still very excited for the launch of this watch.

So far the market is so heavily saturated by fitness and activity trackers, and in my opinion the majority of them aren’t appealing or have very limited functionality outside of tracking your heart rate and steps for example.

Nixon on the other hand are giving it a red hot go with their new watch: The Mission. Already I feel like if I owned one, I’d be some sort of super spy. Shocking snowboarder by day, spy by night!
