Middletown Prahran Launch

Over the weekend @Melbourne_Food_Finds and I were lucky enough to get a table at Middletown to see what all the fuss is about!
The newly opened ‘brunchery royale’, (open since 7th September; it’s still a baby!), is brought to you by the team behind one of my favourites, Operator 25.

As soon as I walked in the doors I instantly fell in love with the architecture and interior. These guys seriously spared no expense making sure that this is an experience you will remember.

We sat seated near the window, because of course, we wanted to try and get some nice shots. However, there were also gorgeous marble tables which would make for an amazing flatlay…if that’s something you’re into.

The menu itself was gorgeous. Bound in leather, with nice thick pages offering ALL-DAY breakfast and lunch menus (now that’s what I like to hear!). There is an emphasis on fine seasonal produce, something I try and live by. Additionally, an array of curated coffees, and smoothies.

As I already had plans for lunch, I wanted to make sure I got something not too heavy… but to be honest they have something for everyone!

I opted for the Coffee Waffles and Noah chose the Eggs Benedict. Luckily we have the mentality of ‘what’s mine is yours’ so we each got to try both. Let’s be honest though, I would have just stolen a bite anyway (heh).

First off, the presentation of the dishes was WOW. The plating is definitely on point and not only that but the pairings of flavours worked. I like to try obscure things, you never know, you might just like it!
